-The initiative called '''B'''ayern '''FL'''ora or "Flora of Bavaria" exists since more than 100 years. It is devoted to the study of the vascular plant life in Bavaria. The goal is to document all vascular plant life including all naturally occurring or indigenous plants, new emerging plants, like invasive plants or over the years extinct plants.  The floristic initiative has the challenge to record all the changes over space and time and is working together with initiatives on a more regional level.
