In the context of the IBF project and DiversityMobile (smartphone app, Tablet PC) as well as in the context of the German Barcoding of Life (=GBOL) project there is a need to use national/ regional species checklists/ taxon lists as managed by DiversityTaxonNames (=DTN). These DTN lists manage names and classification of certain organismic groups in a geographical context. They does not compete against reference checklists/ red lists etc. *** published as regular publications. These structured lists could be exported in various formats and are used as underlying standard lists in web services and mobile interfaces.

The IBF project/ DiversityMobile (smartphone app, Tablet PC) and the German Barcoding of Life (=GBOL) project need to use national/ regional species checklists/ taxon lists as managed by DiversityTaxonNames (=DTN) databases as taxonomic backbone and classification in a national and regional context. Such well structured non-commented lists are used as database export in various views and formats and build the underlying standard lists for web services and interfaces. To document the lists used in the IBF and GBOL context and enlarge the acceptance they are presented here for open and free download. The DTN taxon lists do not compete against reference checklists/ red lists etc. released as regular citable publications.
