Data Collection

The purpose of the data collection is described under IBF Fungi.

Data Project and Service

The data project "IBF Monitoring of Fungi" was established by Prof. Dr. Andreas Bresinsky and Josef Simmel. It is part of the DFG funded IBF project with the aim to gain observation records of fungi in the field using the smart phone application DiversityMobile. The data are processed by Diversity Workbench components and made accessible via national and international portals. The data are single observation records with some ecological factors added. The taxonomy and nomenclature follows the DGfM List of Fungal Names. After the end of the research project the data will be permanently managed and curated at the data repository of the SNSB IT Center of the Staatliche Naturwissenschaftliche Sammlungen Bayerns. Notices of errors of any kind are much appreciated by the editorial staff *** farthest@gmx.de ***. The data project ""IBF Monitoring of Fungi" and – if not stated otherwise – its supporting files have been copyrighted © 2009 by the University of Regensburg (Ecology/Biology) and the Staatliche Naturwissenschaftliche Sammlungen Bayerns.
