The observation records are based on GPS data a grid system of quadrants owing an extent of 5' longitude / 3' latitude (approx. 6.3 / 5.5 km). Data Project and Service
The data project "IBF Monitoring of Fungi" was established by Prof. Dr. Andreas Bresinsky and Josef Simmel. It is part of the DFG funded IBF project with the aim to make accessible observations of fungi in the field gained by using DivversityMobile and managed by Diversity Workbench components. For a detailed description of the research project see under http://www.diversitymobile.net/wiki/IBF_Fungi.It contains single observation records with some ecological factros added. The taxonomy and nomenclature follows the DGfM List of Fungal Names.
