Description

In October 2013 the new project "BFL – Communication Platform" started. Its goal for the coming three years is to set up an interactive communication platform for volunteer experts and citizen scientists interested in the vegetation of Bavaria. The platform is based on wiki technology and technically managed as part of the biowikifarm. The Wiki zur Flora von Bayern offers additional possibilities compared to those of the current online portal Botanischer Informationsknoten Bayern (BIB). A repository for multimedia data (e. g. images) and a forum for discussion are going to be established. Tools for plant identification and document up- and downloads are provided. The moderation of the cooperative elements, e. g. an event calendar, is supervised in cooperation between project co-workers and volunteer experts. Workshops to introduce volunteer curators to the database tools of the Diversity Workbenchare organised. A user help desk will be installed to answer all public comments and contributions concerning the project. Anyone interested in the development of the interactive wiki communication platform is encouraged to contribute.

-Ziele des Projektes
-Das Projekt „BIB 2.0: Botanische Kommunikationsplattform für Bayern“ soll den bestehenden
-Informationsknoten aus seinem Dornröschenschlaf erwecken, zur leistungsfähigen Drehscheibe
-innerhalb der Botanik-Community ausbauen und mit breitenwirksamen Komponenten anreichern.
-Dazu wird der inhaltliche und technische Aufbau sowie die Moderation einer wiki-basierten
-Kommunikationsplattform Bayernflora.de angestrebt, die:
- ein ‚Bilddaten-Repositorium‘ zur Annahme und Annotation georeferenzierter Pflanzen-fotos
-aus Bayern umfasst,
- ein Flora-Forum zur Diskussion über bestimmungskritische Sippen und Verbreitungsangaben
-umfasst,
- Bestimmungshilfen für die Nutzung im gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum anbietet,
- Checklisten und Rote Listen der Gefäßpflanzen (soweit frei verfügbar) zum Download
-anbietet,
- lokale Gruppen über einen gemeinsamen Veranstaltungskalender vernetzt und
- datentechnische Weiterbildung von Kartierern zum Umgang mit Wiki-Software und
-Datenmanagement und -kuration in DWB-Datenbanken in Form von
-Trainingsveranstaltungen anbietet.
-Der WWF soll mit Namen und Logo / Banner prominent als besonderer Förderer des
-Informationsknotens auf der Kopfzeile und damit auf allen Unterseiten der Plattform aufscheinen

-Ein besonders innovatives Feature ist das geplante Bilddaten-Repositorium, eine öffentliche interaktive

-kann. Die Fotos werden durch einen Online-Dienstplan versierter Botaniker in Bayern laufend

-Mit dem Projekt "BIB 2.0: Botanische Kommunikationsplattform für Bayern- Modell für Deutschland" soll aus der bereits bestehenden Webseite bayernflora.de ("Botanischer Informationsknoten Bayern" (BIB)) ein Medium entstehen, dass es nicht nur den Mitarbeitern aus Naturschutz und Wissenschaft sondern auch den  engagierten Ehrenamtlichen und dem interessierten Laien ermöglicht am botanischen Geschehen in Bayern aktiv teilzunehmen. Anlass hierfür ist das Projekt "Flora von Bayern - Archivierung, Datenfluss und Datenbereitstellung in der Diversity Workbench und im Fachinformationssystem Naturschutz“. Der neue Informationsknoten ist ein wesentlicher Schlüssel zum Erfolg dieses Projektes. Er ermöglicht es zum einen umfangreiche, komplexe Datenbestände aus zahlreichen lokalen Projekten zu sammeln und auszuwerten, zum anderen stellt er ein wichtiges Medium dar um Kontakt mit der Öffentlichkeit zu knüpfen und deren Unterstützung einzuwerben.
-Um den derzeit bestehenden Informationsknoten auszubauen ist es wichtig ihn in eine nachhaltig gesicherte und für die Weiterentwicklung offene Struktur umzuwandeln. Mit seiner Expertise für die Softwarepakete "Biowikifarm" und "Diversity Workbench" übernimmt das IT-Zentrum der Staatlichen Naturkundlichen Sammlung Bayerns (SNSB IT-Zentrum) diese Aufgabe. Diese beiden Softwarepakete sind open source-Software mit langfristiger Entwicklungsperspektive. sie lassen sich prinzipiell auch für vergleichbare Projekte in anderen Bundesländern oder auf Bundesebene einsetzen, der neue Informationsknoten stellt damit auch in technischer Hinsicht ein Modell für ganz Deutschland dar.
