Description
The 3-year project "BFL – Communication Platform" is initiated in 2013. Its goal is to set up an interactive communication platform based on wiki technology. The wiki software will be technically managed as part of the Biowikifarm. The BFL Wiki will offer functionalities in addition to those of the current BIB portal. A BFL repository for multimedia data and a BFL forum for discussion are establised. Identification tools are included as well as a center for up- and download of documents. The moderation of the cooperative elements, e. g. of a calendar, is done by project co-workers and volunteer experts. Diversity Workbench Training Workshops are organised for volunteer curators. An user help desk will support BFL interested persons to contribute to the development of the wiki communication platform.
