Bayern Flora
The initiative called Bayern FLora or "Flora of Bavaria" exists since more than 100 years. It is devoted to the study of the vascular plant life in Bavaria. The goal is to document all vascular plant life including all naturally occurring or indigenous plants, new emerging plants, like invasive plants or over the years extinct plants. The BFL has the challenge to record all the changes over space and time and is working together with initiatives on a more regional level. Since 2011 the consortium Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Flora von Bayern is assisting the initiative to publish a work "Flora" which will describe all plant species recently documented for Bavaria, with the aim of allowing identification.
